Albion designed the KB bridle in conjunction with Klaus Balkenhol, international dressage trainer, after investigating the true needs of the horse. The poll, temple and cheeks have minimal areas of pressure contact, resulting in optimum levels of submission. The solid part of the bridle, which is the broad contact with the cushion, is now a combined noseband hanger and throat lash (both are not subjected to any tension from the bit or rein contact). The headpiece lies on top of the cushioned crown, thus minimising the influence of the bit contact pressure and dispersing this pressure over the maximum possible area. The browband, by conventional judgements, is always oversized. The Albion KB bridle is the latest development to help all riders perfect their performance.
