Entry point to the Maxi line, the Maxi 2 gives owners angled, herringbone stalls in a double trailer without the price or footprint of the bigger models above it.
Rather than standing horses head-on, the herringbone layout turns them at an angle, which many owners find keeps horses settled over a longer drive and makes the whole interior easier to move around in when loading. Window flaps on the offside and above the ramp keep the air moving, and padded panels take the knocks that come with everyday use.
Nothing about the Maxi 2 is scaled back on the mechanical side: it runs the same coil and gas-strut suspension as the rest of the range, built to cut down the jolting and rattle that unsettles horses on a hard road surface.
The floor and side panels are both aluminium, chosen because they don't corrode the way steel eventually does, and the roof is a single moulded piece that keeps water out without a seam to fail.

Two, loaded on herringbone partitions rather than a straight, head-on layout.
The Maxi 2 is fixed for two horses, while the Maxi 3 steps up with telescopic partitions that can be reconfigured for either two horses or three ponies. If you only ever need to carry a pair, the Maxi 2 is the simpler option.
However, the Maxi 3 can also come with a tack room.
There's storage space at the front for rugs and everyday kit, though it's not the full walk-in tack room you'll find on the Maxi 3 and above.

Yes, it runs the same Pullman suspension fitted across every Cheval Liberte trailer, so ride quality isn't scaled back to match the smaller size.
