Product Description
6 by 4 foot Premium Rubber mats. 18mm thick with a grooved underside for natural drainage. Nobbled surface for grip. Premium Rubber Mats are suitable for any number of applications where a solid rubber mat is required to provide a safe, durable, non-slip surface. Our mats are made of 100% solid rubber, these are not re-cyled rubber crumb mats. They are non-porous so will not absorb any liquids or harbour harmful bacteria. For use in Stables we recommend the Mats are used with the nobbled pattern to the top and the grooved side to the bottom, however they can be used whichever way is preferred.
Product FAQs
Where are Bates saddles from?
Bates is an Australian company, founded in Perth in 1934 by George Bates. It's still family-owned and sells saddles in more than 30 countries.
What is the Bates EasyChange gullet system?
EasyChange lets you change the width of a Bates saddle by swapping the gullet. On most saddles made since 2010, the gullet is reached by removing two external screws.
Can I change the gullet on a Bates saddle myself?
The swap itself is straightforward, but choosing the right width is the hard part. Have a qualified saddle fitter assess your horse before you change it.
What is CAIR?
CAIR is Bates' cushion system, used in the panels of many Bates saddles as an alternative to wool flocking. Bates advises against removing it.
Are Bates and Wintec the same company?
Bates and Wintec are separate brands owned by the same group, Saddlery Brands International.
Can you fit a Bates saddle to my horse?
Yes. Philip Ireland, our Society of Master Saddlers qualified fitter, fits saddles in our own arena. Call 01823 481484 to book.
