Happy Mouth American Gag

Made from hi-tech plastic moulded around a stainless steel centre for added durability
Feature an apple scent to help encourage acceptance of the bit, mouthing and help to improve performance.
Warmer to the touch than traditional stainless steel bits making it ideal for younger horses or horses with a sensitive mouth.

The Straight bar is a very mild mouthpiece; it is an unvarying mouthpiece, which means the pressure on the mouth doesnt change very much, as it is a fixed mouthpiece. The bit puts pressure on the tongue and lips (corner of the mouth), it does use slight pressure on the bars depending on the size of your horses tongue.

The American Gag is a leverage bit, more like a pelham than a gag in action. It exerts pressure across the lower jaw and some poll pressure, with less play than with a dutch gag. This bit has a head lowering effect and is popular for exuberant jumpers with a naturally high head carriage.
