Cheval Liberte Maxi 3 Horse Trailer

This is one of the best trailers in the Maxi range, and once you've seen it loaded both ways it's obvious why: two horses one day, three ponies the next, on the same trailer.

Built to Switch Between Loads

The partitions slide and telescope rather than sitting fixed, so reconfiguring for a different group doesn't mean a trip to a workshop, just an adjustment you can make yourself. PVC skirts on the partitions add a bit of give where horses lean or knock against them.

The Difference Shows When You Arrive

Horses tend to arrive noticeably more settled than they would in a leaf-sprung trailer, which comes down to the suspension doing the work it's designed for, backed up by padded breast and breach bars set to fit the animal rather than a fixed average size.

A Tack Room That Actually Gets Used

Rather than an afterthought, the tack room is sized properly, enough for saddles and rugs for a full day out, sitting on the same aluminium floor and matting as the horse area.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many horses or ponies does the Maxi 3 carry?

It's built for two horses or three ponies, with telescopic partitions that let you switch between the two without needing any extra fitting work.

What's the difference between the Maxi 3 and the Maxi 2?

The Maxi 2 is fixed for two horses, while the Maxi 3 adds the flexibility to reconfigure for three ponies instead, along with a larger tack room.

Does the Maxi 3 come with a tack room?

Yes, a proper tack room is included as standard, sized for saddles and rugs rather than just a shelf for odds and ends.

Is the ride noticeably different to older or cheaper trailers?

The Pullman suspension fitted throughout the range is designed to smooth out road imperfections that would otherwise unsettle horses, particularly noticeable against trailers running basic leaf-spring setups.

How do I switch between the two-horse and three-pony layout?

The partitions slide and telescope into place, so reconfiguring is something you can do yourself rather than needing a workshop visit.

Can I see one before I order?
