This is one of the best trailers in the Maxi range, and once you've seen it loaded both ways it's obvious why: two horses one day, three ponies the next, on the same trailer.
The partitions slide and telescope rather than sitting fixed, so reconfiguring for a different group doesn't mean a trip to a workshop, just an adjustment you can make yourself. PVC skirts on the partitions add a bit of give where horses lean or knock against them.
Horses tend to arrive noticeably more settled than they would in a leaf-sprung trailer, which comes down to the suspension doing the work it's designed for, backed up by padded breast and breach bars set to fit the animal rather than a fixed average size.
Rather than an afterthought, the tack room is sized properly, enough for saddles and rugs for a full day out, sitting on the same aluminium floor and matting as the horse area.
